Job Description

Permanent Opportunity - Lead DevOps EngineerMy client, a large housing association is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join the team permanently.Location: London (Hybrid Work Model)Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + Excellent benefitsThe successful Lead DevOps Engineer will:

  • Be responsible for and own the creation and maintenance of roadmap of products to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Design and build scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Implement security best practices for applications and infrastructure.
  • Identify and implement improvements in software architecture and design that increase reliability, scalability and performance.
  • Design and implement disaster recover solutions and backup and restore procedures.
  • Manage DevOps engineers and other related resources contracted or seconded to work on projects.
The successful Lead DevOps Engineer will have:
  • Experience of cloud technologies, preferably Azure Platform.
  • Experience of release and deployment tools ideally using Azure DevOps.
  • Experience of micro services and containerisation architecture.
  • Substantial experience of scripting languages such as PowerShell scripts, YAML, Python.
  • Strong networking knowledge (VNet, CDN, DNS, LB, gateways).
  • Experience in cloud security management (IAM, Security Groups, certificates & key management).
