Job Description

OVERVIEWWe are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join a UK-based AI Cloud start-up, to help accelerate ML delivery for highly established clients. This role will report to the Co-Founder/CEO. The companys mission is to deliver world-class tooling to enable datascientists to deliver ML solutions at a quicker rate, all fully transparent and editable in code.Your responsibilities as Head of Data Science will include but not be limited to:

  • Build AI/ML solutions for clients that are across finance, construction, retail, etc
  • Deploying ML solutions into the cloud
  • Data Scraping and wrangling
  • Maintenance of ML models
  • Working with clients to deliver data science solutions and presenting it back.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEA successful lead data scientist will have the following;
  • You will be able to write high-quality python code and will be familiar with development best practices around design, testing, and documentation.
  • Have delivered AI/ML solutions that are deployed. Been through the pain of messy data, building features, and iterating until a great ML model was created and experienced the maintenance of a production ML solution live.
  • Come from a client-facing role and have experience in bringing clients on the journey of where to start with an AI project, presenting results, unlocking the business case, and getting the ML solution deployed.
  • Experience with end-to-end ML modeling, from ideation to deployment
  • Proficiency with Python and SQL
  • Experience with serverless cloud architecture, ideally with AWS.
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or in a relevant STEM degree.
  • Data Science consulting background
  • Have a commercial mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
