IntroductionAn exciting job opportunity is available to join as a Lead Auditor in the Governance Office - Internal Auditor team.We are looking for individuals who are collaborative team players with the ability to build and sustain strong working relationshipswith a wide range of internal and external people. You must have an ACA/ACCA/CA/CMIIA/CCAB/CIMA/ qualification or equivalent proven internal audit experience.The TeamThe objective of Internal Audit is to provide the Clerk, as Accounting Officer with an independentand objective evaluation of the overall adequacy and effectiveness of the Houses arrangements for governance, risk management and control.The RoleThe role provides the opportunity for the right individual to work in an organisation that operates a diverserange of in-house activities and processes from IT and Finance to catering and security. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player capable of working with a diverse group of individuals covering multiple disciplines. Reporting to the headof Internal Audit, the role supports the delivery of the Internal Audit Strategy and annual plan.A significant part of role work covers the auditing of Parliamentary Digital Services (PDS) and acting as the key point of contact with this team. In addition,the Lead Auditor supports the Head of Internal audit in delivering an audit service that adds value to the organisation.Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Qualifications: ACA/ACCA/CA/CMIIA/CCAB/CIMA/ or equivalent proveninternal audit experience Internal Audit Experience: Significant experience of internal audit, with demonstrable experience of undertaking internal audit assignments and the application of current internal audit practices, tools, and techniques IT Audit Experience:Detailed knowledge and experience of conducting IT audits covering key IT controls and risks, with up-to-date knowledge and experience of key areas such as Cyber Security Continuous Improvement: Ability to bring forward, develop and deliver ideas for continuousimprovement and development of audit services as alternative and innovative ways to deliver assurance. Experience of using broad range of standards, frameworks, and best practice to provide a basis for assessing operations, procedures, and control frameworksto support the identification of recommendations for the organization Develop strong, effective relationships with a wide range of people in the House and outside, whilst upholding a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. Strong communication skills:Communicate clearly, confidently, and concisely with stakeholders, both orally and in writing. Proven ability to work under pressure from stakeholders while maintaining a positive relationship.
