Prospectus is delighted to be partnering RefuAid, an ambitious charity based in London who supports refugees and asylum seekers all over the UK to access higher education, requalification and employment. Their core three programmes; Language A Gateway, EqualAccess Loan, and Employment Support work together to support their clients on their journey from arriving in the UK into meaningful employment. As the demand for their services is on the rise, they are looking to recruit a Language Programme Caseworker tosupport a caseload of clients to access English language classes.In partnership with private language schools and universities across the UK, RefuAid supports clients with language tuition courses. This programme involves a collective of individual schools who provide effective solutions to the language barrier, whilstproviding clients with structured English language support, as well as the means to gain qualifications needed to access university or employment. As Language Programme Caseworker, you will ensure students on the programme are being well supported towardstheir goal of passing a language exam or reaching a high level of English. You will facilitate this by enrolling them in school, in online courses, or with a tutor whichever best meets their needs. Finally, you will offer advice and support on students nextsteps to employment once their language studies have been completed.To be considered, you will be committed to understanding the sensitive nature of RefuAid works and communication of their work and values. You will possess exemplary communication skills and have the ability to maintain good working relationships acrossdifferent stakeholders, including individuals from complex and diverse backgrounds. Personal lived experienced of facing challenging times would be advantageous, as is a background in a position that offers insight into the difficulties and barriers facedby individuals when in crisis.
