Job Description

Our client - a leading vision care specialist, is on the lookout for a Junior Web Developer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills and support the business during an exciting phase of web migration. You will be required to upload content for our multiple markets (UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain) to our new CMS - Coremedia, as well as conduct rigorous testing to ensure that the content migrated meets copy, design and functional requirements. Responsibilities:

  • Build pages to upload and publish content in Coremedia. You will be required to add content to the Homepage (including creating banners, adding images and CTA’s), CMS pages, static pages, product listing pages, product description pages; as well as uploadcontent to the navigation bar and website footer.
  • Adding internal links and creating tables for existing pages. You will need to ensure that the pages are redirected to the correct page and all elements are stylised correctly.
  • UAT: Ensure all pages published align with design and functionality requirements outlined by wider teams.
  • Reporting bugs using JIRA where issues arise and ensure they are resolved in collaboration with wider teams as efficiently as possible.
  • You may also be required to fix issues / bugs assigned, such as, incorrect copy / fonts / styling or links.
  • Using meticulous attention to detail, ensure content is uploaded accurate and once published conduct further review so that there is no error in the ordering of content or page functionality.
Skills & Experience:
  • Technical skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JIRA
  • Coremedia knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory - training will be provided.
  • Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines accordingly.
  • While being a native speaker with the ability to read and write in either Spanish, French, Dutch will be an added benefit, it is not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills.
Location: London, UK with 1-2 days in our head office in High Street Kensington
