Job Description

The companyThis is a high-performance marketing services organisation with offices across Europe and the US.Theres a huge amount of opportunity for natural career progression as well as the unique environment for carving out your own future.Were looking for an additional member for the team, a Junior System Developer, to join them on a permanent basis. This role is site based in London.The Junior System Developer works as part of the Infrastructure Services team and is responsible for delivering a world class service monitoring platform across Europe and supporting global requirements.Key responsibilities:

  • Develop new monitoring functionality to meet the business requirements in line with defined development standards
  • Transform non-technical requirements into a fully documented technical solution
  • Define and maintain solutions in line with the Enterprise Management strategy
  • Deliver accurate reporting and provide monthly management information
  • Provide advice and guidance to all areas of IT in the application of monitoring technologies
  • Action Jira service desk requests for the monitoring team
  • Review Zabbix server, proxy, and automation logs
  • Monitor health of Zabbix servers
  • Update Zabbix maintenance windows
We are looking for someone with:
  • Experience with Python/Jira
  • Experience of coding, testing and documenting more complex pieces of code with evidence of development output
  • Demonstrable experience in reviewing software updates and patches and determining which need to be implemented
  • Ideally, experience in Zabbix monitoring (SNMP Administration)
  • Knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems
  • Knowledge of server application stack (Tomcat/API/ActiveMQ/JBOSS)
  • Desirable knowledge in SNMP, LAMP stack, Web server and database technologies
  • Desirable experience in server administration and delivering network efficient solutions
