Avanti Recruitment is currently working with a global financial trading company who are currently looking to hire 2x Junior Java Developers due to growth within the company. The office is in South London with good transport links, however, this role wouldrequire you in the office 2 days per week. On a day-to-day basis, you will find yourself working across the full software development life cycle including design/architecture. You will be involved in working on Greenfield projects as well as system enhancements, maintenance, and integration. You willwork in an agile team, take ownership of individual elements of development, and will be involved with code reviews. You will also gain experience in DevOps.The company is keen on helping develop its teams skill sets and is happy to help with accreditations/certifications. The company is keeping up with the latest technologies and is always looking to implement new tech as it progresses. They are also workingwith the latest AWS tech including Lambdas , Aurora, Cognito, EC2 etc.You will be working closely with the product development team as well as the trading colleagues and other developers on a daily basis to ensure you are delivering excellent service to the companys clients.Essential Skills:- 2:1 or above in computer science- Java Development experience (1-3 years commercial experience)- Understanding of TDD principles and advantages of creating unit tests- Understanding of CI/CD Principles (Git/Jenkins)- SQL- Familiarity with CSS/HTML/JavaScript / JSONDesirable:- Docker/Kubernetes- AWS (Aurora / Lambda)The salary on off for this role is up to £50,000 + discretionary Bonus + 27 days holiday (Plus bank holiday) + Life Insurance + Private Medical.If you would like to know more and are interested then click Apply Now!
