Job Description

Junior Desk Analyst (Python Graduate) London to £65kDo you have a record of academic achievement combined with a strong interest and desire to progress your career in trading with significant bonus earning potentialYou could be joining a specialist Hedge Fund with £1 billion in assets, learning from a hugely talented team.As a Junior Desk Analyst you will research drivers of global gas prices to develop supply and demand models, create tooling to monitor market developments and effectively communicate your findings to ensure commercial success. Youll be supported to reachyour full potential and can progress to taking Risk.Location / WFH Policy:Youll be working in a collegiate team environment based in North London with a small group of accomplished entrepreneurs with flexibility to work from home occasionally (you will be mainly office based).Requirements:

  • You have a strong record of academic achievement, likely to have studied to MSc or PhD level - Econometrics, Economics or Mathematics preferred; gained at an Oxbridge or Russell Group university
  • You have commercial experience in similar / relevant role and are focussed on making money for the firm (and making bonuses for yourself!)
  • You have a keen interest in Trading and global financial markets, with commercial acumen
  • Youre motivated to learn and progress to taking / managing Risk
  • You have a strong knowledge of data analysis and statistical techniques
  • You have programming skills with Python
  • Experience with R, advanced Excel and SQL experience would be an advantage
  • You have advanced critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Youre a confident communicator
