The Business Transformation Team GLAS is embarking on several strategic programs to enhance and strengthen its Global product and service capabilities, through the launch of this new team which aims to centralise initiatives that ultimately shape firm-wide policy and direction through a dynamic project-focused and data centric environment. The team will support the global business by successfully delivering the initiatives which aim to align, people, process, technology, and data to GLASs business strategy and vision. As a centralised team, they will be accountable for carrying out the body of work providing the momentum needed to take initiatives from concept through to delivery as well as setting up the suitable controls to ensure changes remain effective and are being adhered to. The core areas of focus for the team will be: GLAS Initiatives: Dedicated effort towards delivering and embedding changes which will progress GLAS towards its future state as envisioned by the Board. With the support of sponsors and key business stakeholders Product Ownership & Governance: Building expertise around GLAS core transaction systems, and becoming the central point, accountable for the management, control, governance, and training. Data & Analytics: As product owners, the team is best placed to provide consistent reporting and analysis for all levels of management. These can be for internal operational metrics and external commercial analysis. The role of Junior Business Analyst To help embed the Transformation team into GLASs operating model by fostering strong relationships with stakeholders across different areas of the business, and to become an SME for the end-to-end operational policies, procedures, data, and systems. You will work with the Head of Business Transformation to establish the best practices and controls for the team, to keep project related processes always running smoothly. No two projects are the same so you could be involved in Regulatory Change, Process Improvement, IT Transformation and Strategy. As a result, the role will require a skill set that encompasses the full spectrum of business analysis knowledge from project delivery through to system and data management. The team has a wide remit, and the role the Junior Business Analyst will evolve, with time, to take ownership of projects and products. Responsibilities Effective delivery of initiatives that underpin the strategic and digital roadmap for the global business. successfully plan and deliver large-scale data-centric projects, including: Data Migration; Data Classification; Data Records Management; Data Domain Transformations; and other projects, within a similar framework. Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation such as business proposal, project plans, BRDS and FRDS Monitoring and tracking project progress and dependencies against detailed project plans across the entire project portfolio - identify impediments and support with the mitigation efforts Preparation of project control reports including status reports, RAID logs and project dashboards. Producing presentations and excel based management information for Senior Management. Lead meetings such as program kick offs, workshops, reviews, and governance committees Drive automation of business processes, translating user requirements into IT solutions. Actively perform continuous data monitoring ensuring an efficient remediation process/controls are setup, communication to data owners and escalation of issue to relevant areas of the business Develop and drive adoption of data governance framework, consisting of data standards, controls, processes in the areas of: data movement, data quality, master & reference data, data life cycle management and metadata management. Experience and Qualifications some experience/exposure of working in an operational change function within financial services or similar role. Experience writing detailed business requirements and functional specifications which includes process and data mapping. Extensive experience of data management, data governance, ETL processes, data analysis and reporting Applies knowledge, skills, and techniques to define, control, report and improve processes. Detail-oriented with ability to focus on managing multiple reports, processes, projects. Broad and deep understanding of data systems (eg industry platforms, data tools, portals, workflow, automation), experienced in surfacing technological/digital solutions to solve business issues. Ability to run SQL queries across datasets for analysis, knowledge of Power query, power BI are advantageous. Person Specification 2+ year relevant industry experience or experience gained in a simar role. Motivation to create quality, consistent and user-friendly software, and process improvements. Comfortable supporting and managing cross-functional, often complex, work streams. Excellent planning and scheduling skills; ability to manage and improve complex workflows and teams. A can-do attitude and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment. Good observation and problem-solving skills and dedication to see it through to the end. Ability to manage multiple workstreams and coordinate between team members.
