Job Description

  • Up to £33,000 DOE, plus bonus
  • Central London + WFH
Are you interested in becoming a Junior Account Manager for a fair-trade brand who are working to re­shape the livelihoods of overseas workers We are hiring on behalf of an inspiring ethical brand who design and develop creative, sustainable productsfor leading high street & environmentally conscious retailers.Working with the Head of Sales, you will be developing key relationships with existing retailers, whilst approaching potential new customers within the media, marketing, design, and corporate sectors to grow this business. Having an active role to play innew product development and idea generation within the business, you will be both creative and commercial, so a creative background or experience of textiles and/or accessories would be ideal.It’s important that you have an interest in social equity and sustainability and want to join an established yet growing company with exceptional core values and principles. If you have excellent relationship building skills, a love of product and creativity,and a desire to build a career in sales with an amazing business, this may be the perfect role for you! Responsibilities in this Junior Account Manager role will include:
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients, to maximise growth and revenue opportunities
  • Working with the Head of Sales on sales strategy, securing new business, identifying new opportunities within the market
  • Play an active part in idea generation for new products, having a commercial eye and being aware of market trends bringing innovation and commerciality to new product development
  • Negotiating pricing, in line with business target margins
  • Liaising with both the overseas and internal teams with regard to forecasts, development and sales order timelines, ensuring delivery in line with agreed customer dates
  • Cradle to grave responsibility for your orders, ensuring all are inputted accurately, and the system is up to date
  • Attend customer meetings as required
  • Overseas travel to the vender base as needed
Skills & experience required:
  • Wholesale / trade sales experience, developing accounts to meet targets / margins
  • Some sales experience delivering compelling pitches to clients would be ideal
  • Knowledge of textiles / Product Development an advantage
  • Background in / experience of the media, marketing, or design sectors beneficial (but not essential)
  • An excellent communicator and relationship builder at all levels, and cross-culturally
  • Detail oriented with first class organisational and numeracy skills
  • Excellent problem solver who works well under pressure
  • Good comprehension of fair-trade and sustainability markets
  • A genuine interest working within a social enterprise
  • Competent Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • A creative, forward-thinking mind - with a proactive, positive approach and the drive to help an ethical company do more!
