Job Description

JavaScript EngineerA global powerhouse within the social media industry is looking for a JavaScript Engineer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract - The role will be onboarded remotely before joining the team in London.This function support efforts in the cogwheel internal test framework. Allowing service owners to update and add the execution of test framework throughout the workflow. The role is to provide a good user experience putting it into a new UX, getting feedbackand context.Job Responsibilities:

  • Part of the UX workflow, working in a test environment
  • Interreacting with tech teams supporting mocks before release
  • Testing and validation of products
  • UI/UX Software Engineer with solid experience working
  • No mobile, just web-based technologies.
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
  • Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
  • Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
Skills Required:
  • JavaScript or Typescript (4+ years experience)
  • React
  • Linux based environment - must have worked in one, able to work in a test environment
  • Important keywords: Usability, User Interface (or UI), User Experience (or UX)
  • Experience working with agile teams and in large environments
  • Experience with writing good quality code with automated tests
  • Experience working with remote teams / strong team player
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
Preferred Skills
  • PHP, Python
  • Backbone, Angular, Knockout, Ext.js (at least one if no React experience)
