Java8 / FX / E-Trading DeveloperLocation - London / RemoteRate - £619pd INSIDE IR35My client is looking for a Java8 developer with low latency experience and also FX & E-Trading. These are essential skills / experience for this vacancy.The role is within the Sales and Trading Lab within the Markets Division of Group Transformation. The team are responsible for all front office systems from real time pricing to electronic trading and real time risk management across a variety of asset classes.What would you get involved with* Youll work with partners to advocate engineering excellence and deliver business value through sound and fully rounded engineering methods and principles* Youll ensure platforms and software are built consistently with relevant patterns and practices* Youll support the engineering community by providing deep domain and technical expertise and providing a voice to engineers to identify and support the resolution of issues* Youll ensure technical debt and releases are prioritised accordingly.* Youll be able to continually develop themselves with industry standard methodology methods and tooling used across their engineering teams.* Youll be well versed with modern technologies like cloud and containers, Microservices, distributed architecture and passionate about agile, lean development practices, CI/CD, DevOps, SRE.The role of our Principle Software Engineers is vital in ensuring the products we deliver are fit for purpose and meet the quality and standards that our customers expect.We hope youll be able to...* Deliver the highest quality customer driven software whist continually challenging, motivating, mentoring and supporting the teams.* Work in cross-disciplinary feature teams delivering exciting customer driven solutions and high quality software.* Showcase excellent interpersonal and communications skills whilst efficiently working across the project life cycle to ensure software operates as intended.* Work hands-on alongside engineering colleagues to understand and develop their own technical domain knowledge and takes responsibility for their actions.* Exercise responsibility, autonomy and judgement within broad, but well-defined parameters.* Work in a highly collaborative way to complete assigned work, showcase progress and address problems that are well-defined, complex and often non-routine.* Be a quick learner who can learn and adapt to new technologies being used within Lloyds and the wider industry whilst bringing those around them on the same journey.* Understand the importance of quality and hence create and implement approaches, guidelines, principles defined by themselves and their Engineering and Chapter Lead peers.* Drive the success of Lloyds Engineering Chapters, Communities and Guilds whilst resolving impediments and issues.* Continually develop themselves with industry standard methodology in order to advance the direction of Software Engineering in Lloyds.Skills wed expect you to have:* 5+ years in a low latency electronic trading environment* Strong OO Skills* Experience of developing using modern UIs* Experience with latency reduction techniques* Working experience in streaming, messaging and RESTful APIs* Familiarity with modern build pipelines and tools - experience with UrbanCode and Team City would be beneficial* Demonstrated knowledge of common design patterns such as MVVM, IoC, etc* Demonstrated experience in Multi-threading* Experience with working Capital Markets Front Office technology is preferred, in particular with knowledge of pricing rates derivative products.* Bachelors of Computer Science or equivalent degree* Experience working in an Agile environmentSpring Technology acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
