Job Description

A successful, international company is seeking for a Translator with German to native level and fluent Japanese to join their exciting organisation based in London. You will be responsible for translating games content from Japanese into German. This position is a one-year full time contract with the opportunity to be extended to a long-term position with a start next year.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Translating and proofreading a variety of creative texts and material from Japanese into German
  • Supporting various managers on a project basis
  • Working closely with other languages to keep the high level of quality across all languages
  • Ensuring the consistency of the content and language style is accurate and adhere to the guidelines
    • About you:In order to succeed within this role, it is required for you to be fluent in Japanese with German language skills to native level and a keen interest in Japanese and German culture. It is a fantastic opportunity for a fluent Japanese and German speaking Translator to gain experience within a successful company and be involved in a creative and professional team in London.   • Fluent in German to mother tongue standard
  • Fluent in Japanese, written and spoken (ideally JLPT1 or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in translation, localisation, copywriting, proofreading
  • Trados experience preferred
  • Understanding of and exposure to Japanese and German culture and have an interest in gaming
  • Attention to detail and have a great communication and organisational skills
