Job Description

Are you a support technician with at least two years of experience in working with systems and are looking for an exciting new role as a Systems Administrator About the companyI am currently working with an established wealth management firm based in the heart of London. Position Overview Having made their mark within the industry, this fast-growing wealth management firm is looking for a Systems Administrator to join their team! Responsibilities * Monitoring the Canaccord helpdesk for user issues. Ensure calls are dealt with efficiently and provide an excellent service to users. * Supporting office printers, copiers, scanners. * Set up new PCs in accordance with Group specifications, ensuring that group standard software is always installed and that workstations are security patched appropriately.* Set up new users/delete leavers from network access, email, Avaloq and any other specialist programs plus telephone system.* To provide out of hours support on occasions depending on work demands.* Ensure procedures are created for any key IT processes.* Ensure all hardware has an Asset tag, maintain the Hardware Asset database on the intranet and perform annual scanning of equipment.* Order new software/hardware when approved* Prepare, test, and implement systems solutions to meet new business requirements when directed.* Set up, maintain, and monitor remote user access in accordance with agreed practice* Maintain a (low key) watching brief on new developments in IT that may be of assistance to the business* Assist with presentation equipment in boardrooms when necessary.* Assist with network cabling and office moves as required.* Provide cover for other IT staff as required.* Manage mobile infrastructure, procure devices, manage the recording requirements.* To work closely with the support & infrastructure teams globally at the direction of the line manager. * To have good attention to detail to ensure a first-time fix is provided. To expand relevant IT skill base and be capable in supporting all software and hardware.* Provide basic training for new users on existing applications where appropriate and identify areas that require further training to be undertaken.Candidate Requirements Essential Skills and personal qualitiesExperience in the following systems and/or applications: * Active Directory.* O365 technologies.* IT administration.* Knowledge of Azure.* Knowledge of Intune.* Able to support Market data platforms, eg Fidessa, Iress, Bloomberg, Factset, Alpha Terminal. * Cisco VOIP, including CUCM administration, Jabber, Calabrio Knowledge of voice recording systems advantageous.
