IT Support EngineerSalary: £22,000 -£25,000Hours: 36 hours per week.Contract: Fixed Term Contract - Until March 2023Location: Home-based with at least 1 day per week in the Leicester officeFounded in 1973, Home-Start is a local community network of trainedvolunteers and expert support helping families with young children through their challenging times. We are there for parents when they need us the most because childhood cannot wait. Families struggling with post-natal depression, isolation, physical healthproblems, bereavement and many other issues receive the support of a volunteer who spend time with families to help.Increasingly, all areas of our operations, interaction and decision-making are underpinned by the need for fit-for-purpose IT systems, softwareand hardware. It is therefore crucial to ensure this infrastructure is running well, regularly maintained, and can enable effective working practices.In the last year, our Home-Start UK staff team has grown to over 40 people and now requires additional ITsupport. This new role in our IT team is to provide staff with face-to-face and remote support when they need it and to ensure we have the capacity to maintain, manage and develop our IT infrastructure. The role provides direct ("first-line") support to staffand is responsible for ensuring the right ("second-line") external specialist technical expertise when needed. We are open to flexible working arrangements, but this role requires at least one day a week visiting our office in Leicester for administrativeduties because our current infrastructure combines elements "on premises" with Cloud-based solutions.Closing date for applications: 5pm Monday 30th August 2021(We may close this earlier if sufficient applications are received)Interviews will be carried outW/C 13th September.
