Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Teamer Leader to join our growing IT team based in London.The candidate will primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Infrastructure Team. Being the primary escalation point for Team Members and assigning appropriate day-to-day activities. This will include the allocation of workload along with ongoing projects.The individualThe successful candidate will provide excellent customer service and high-quality technical support. They must also be able to prioritize a variable workload and know when to escalate appropriately. They will be required to communicate effectively with pressurized users at all levels, often whilst under pressure themselves.Technical ExperienceThis role will be overseeing the technical team but will require technical knowledge of the following:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012R2/2016
  • SCCMCurrent branch including software/Operating system deployment including patch management deployment
  • Scripting languages - PowerShell or VBS Scripts
  • Citrix XenApp 7.15 including PVS
  • VMware vSphere 6.5+ in an enterprise environment
  • Backup systems (preferably CommVault)
  • Troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and vLANs
  • Office 365/Azure
  • Windows 10
  • Cisco switches and routers.
  • Disaster recovery platforms like VMware Site Recovery Manager
  • iSCSI/Fibre channel Storage Area Networks, such as Nimble
  • Understanding of VOIP
  • The TeamThe Infrastructure team is responsible for the provision of IT services and support to 10 offices across the UK. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Service Desk Manager, Head of IT, IT Infrastructure Architect, IT Infrastructure Engineers, and other members of the IT teamThe applicant should be able to demonstrate the following behaviors:
  • A strong desire and focus on continuous improvements and personal development including keeping up to date with the current industry trend, emerging technologies, and best practices
  • Demonstrate experience in supervising and leading others
  • Ability to follow processes, policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practice
  • Leadership duties
  • Organise, allocate and monitor work task and projects to appropriate deadlines
  • Ensure incident and problem queues are kept up to date and actioned
  • Ensure effective communication between the IT Infrastructure team and other teams
  • Ensure effective communication between the IT Infrastructure team and key stakeholders of projects
  • Ensure the team follow policy, best practice, and procedures whilst undertaking work
  • Handling escalated queries from other IT Teams
  • Be involved in a team meeting to update members on continuing best practice and expectations
  • Produce reports on team performance and deadlines
  • Provide updates to the Infrastructure Manager on a regular basis
  • Participate in the development and continual improvement of the service, support, processes, and procedures
  • Mentor, coach, and assist members of the Infrastructure Team
  • The role will be fully remote initially with 2-3 days remote per week post COIVD.Role reports to - IT Infrastructure Architect.Hours - Monday to Friday, 35 hour week on a rotating shift pattern between the hours of 8 am - 6 pm Required skills
