You must be a motivated, organised, excellent communicator with theproven ability to work to deadlines - individually and as part of a team.You will be expected to improve and develop operational efficiency and service provision within client departments through the analysis, design, implementation and support of IT-basedsolutions (to include both software and hardware aspects). In addition, you will be expected to develop relationships with Council departments so as to understand business requirements and priorities.Candidates qualified to Degree or HND level in a Computingor Business Systems related subject are considered desirable for this post. You should have demonstrable experience and skills in the following: Project Management; Business or Systems Analysis, Systems Design, Systems Development (e.g. integration, scriptingor data extraction/import), Implementation, Support and/or Database Administration.A working knowledge of one or more of the Councils corporate business systems would also be a distinct advantage including MHR iTrent, Academy Revenues and Civica EDM. Expertisein Microsoft technologies such as SQLserver, Citrix, Ingres, SQL, Java and Apache Tomcat would also be advantageous.Good communication skills in written and spoken English are essential and the ability to speak and write through the medium of Welsh would bedesirable in assisting the Department to provide a bilingual service to clients.Conwy is committed to equality of opportunity and we welcome applications from all sections of our community.
