London based Investment Bank seek an IT Business Analyst for their FX, MM & Rates Desks. You will have experience as a Front office Technical Business Analyst, with strong, Rates (ideally Interest Rates derivatives) knowledge or FXMM asset classes. You must be able to write SQL database queries. Its a mix of Waterfall and Agile methodologies, they have 6 different squads and this person will cover 2 or 3 of those squads. Any knowledge of Murex and Kondor would be helpful, but not essential. The key activities are business analysis of project tasks, including understanding and translation of business requirements, problem analysis, and definition of RFCs, and bug/defects within systems as prioritised by the governance structure. You will have good knowledge of IRD / FXMM Front Office trade execution, capture and processing. One of the major projects would be to look at Transaction reporting, improving the quality and accuracy of their TR for regulatory requirements. Understanding MiFiD 2 regulations and being able to ask the right questions around Transaction reporting. Review the existing Business Requirements documentation and the current production system to identify and understand the required functionality, so that the impact of any functional changes to the existing systems are identified, documented and catered for. Ensure effective communication of requirements between users and developers (translating business requirements into user stories) during the project initiation phase by first producing vision and explanatory documents. Work with the development team and users to produce an initial Product Backlog, writing epics and user stories with just enough detail to provide high level estimates for the project approval process. During the execution phase, working in an agile manner to refine the product backlog, adding acceptance criteria, so that the developer can successfully implement the stories. Creating test plans and acceptance tests for PBIs and testing delivered software. Communicate and train the business users in the new functionality provided in each of the multiple releases to enable UAT to be undertaken.
