Job Description

IoT Solution Architect Location: LondonSalary: £70k-£85k DOEThe RoleA Highly successful international telecommunication and IT services company based in the city seek a talented IoT Solution Architect. The Solution Architect will design and maintain the company’s IoT solutions based on business priorities, customer requirements and supplier capabilities. You will Interact with customers and suppliers to establish customer needs and technical requirements. Provide technical support through the sales process in marketing, pre-sales, implementation, and maintenance. Main KPIs are a) Design and successful customer implementation of a set of IoT solutions, and b) Successful handover of new IoT offerings to customer operations.Core Duties

  • Help develop an IoT and Mobile ecosystem
  • Collaborate with other professionals to design solutions
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients to understand business needs
  • Review the proposal of vendors and suppliers to ensure that quality inputs are delivered at appropriate cost
  • Identify and mitigate existing business risk or risks associated with solution architecture.
  • Render consulting and technical support services on project implementation to the sales team
  • Keep accurate record of materials used, expected deliverables, and milestones achieved
  • Monitor the activities of external programmers or developers on IT solution projects
  • Provide architectural guidance to co-ordinate design efforts across the company, customers and suppliers
  • Ensure successful handover of all new solutions to operations ensuring service readiness
  • Ensure compliance to solution architectural design in the implementation of projects
    • The Ideal Candidate
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis.
  • Bachelors degree in Electronic Communications, Systems Engineering or similar.
  • Significant, proven experience in developing IoT and Mobile solutions, including software design, and IT platform implementation in a highly technical and analytical role
  • Excellent knowledge of application architecture, database architecture, networking, working with customers to implement large-scale solutions
  • Solid experience with IoT, Cloud and Mobile technologies and communications protocols, SIM technologies, and e2e IoT Security and IoT devices
  • Experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development life cycle
  • Sound knowledge of programming applications backed by cloud services
