The hire will work directly for the European head of sales + one further experienced buy-side fundraiser. Whilst the wider team in the US run marketing materials, RFP processes and more general marketing admin tasks, the new hire will act as a go betweenthe European head of sales and these teams, overseeing / managing those processes (as opposed to performing those tasks yourself). Sales strategy will from a part of the hires remit pushing the fundraisers to engage with clients that have not been contactedfor some time, suggesting potential new investors, suggesting new businesses or geographies to target etc. Competitor and sales opportunity research is also key to this role researching who the team are pitching against, producing analysis on that firm andcommentary / advice on how to best pitch against them + researching competitor funds that are struggling and their investors to target. The hiring manager is happy to train this person up to become a marketer / fundraiser within 2-3yrs. There is also the potential to move into a European head of IR role. The hire can expect to be going on UK meetings with the head of sales from an early stage. If you prove yourself to be competent and capable, there will then be the potential to join him on some overseas trips. You will also be encouraged to visit the USheadquarter office at least once a year.Candidates should ideally have 2-5yrs experience in a buy-side sales support role. Experience, or knowledge of UCITS would be useful, but this is not expected. A strong academic profile is preferred. The role will cap out at a £65k base salary. A large % of this can be realised as a bonus for a strong performer. The firm allow staff to work up to 3 days from home per week should they wish to.
