Job Description

Job Title Investment Banking - Investment Companies Location London Corporate Title Associate This role sits within Deutsche Numis leading Investment Companies team. The team services retained London-listed investment company clients that have mandates to invest in many different asset classes such as infrastructure, property, debt, private equity,and listed equities from around the world. The team has a long track record of raising capital for its corporate clients and has recently been growing its Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) franchise. You will work closely with a team of corporate colleagues as well as market facing colleagues across sales, research, and trading on a range of typical investment fund clients and transactions. Your key responsibilities
  • Review client draft announcements and presentations ahead of publication
  • Monitor client share price and news stories and report back
  • Ensure key dates are in the teams diaries for example prelims, interims, Annual General Meeting (AGM). Ensure the team has all the required information on a marketing target
  • Build and maintain client valuation models (for example rading comps and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF)
  • Review company trading statements in conjunction with the client account team
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc update presentations for clients on a range of subjects
Your skills and experience
  • Written communication skills including drafting and interpretation of regulatory documents
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience of interacting between clients, other advisers, corporate and market facing colleagues
  • Ability to build and maintain financial models as necessary, including strong Microsoft excel skills
  • Experience in using PowerPoint
  • Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA) or equivalent qualification/ work experience
