Job Description

Real Estate Investment Analyst, London£60,000 / £70,000 + CompJob descriptionLondon based real estate investment management firm are looking to recruit an Investment Analyst to provide support for the Portfolio Management team. The candidate will have the opportunity to build up a network with external stakeholders such as investmentagents, researchers and economists, development partners and property lenders.The role will focus on the UK residential markets. The Candidate will be joining an existing dedicated residential team of which continues to evolve and expand.Key tasks

  • Provide general research and analytical support to the team.
  • Assist in writing thought pieces, generating research output and market commentary for internal and external use.
  • Provide market research covering both the investment and occupational markets.
  • Working as part of the portfolio management team and coordinating with the transaction and asset managers together with the finance team.
  • Active involvement in the investment process including product development, transaction management (acquisitions and realisations), portfolio performance analysis and quarterly reporting.
  • Analyse new investment opportunities in the UK in Microsoft Excel. While maintaining and creating Portfolio and Fund models for each of the Residential Mandates.
  • Analysis of senior debt finance propositions, where appropriate.
  • Preparation of Investment Committee memorandums - acquisition and realisation.
  • Support the asset management team with modelling business plans and generating quarterly investor reports.
  • Support client facing meetings and have input / responsibility for preparing pitch documents and supporting material.
Key skills
  • 3 years relevant work experience in the real estate industry (experience of residential would be a benefit).
  • Experience in Investment Management
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills - candidates need to be able to run/create MS Excel cash flow models to analyse new investment opportunities / existing assets/portfolios - as part of the interview process a modelling test will take place.
  • Good understanding of real estate investing and asset management.
  • Advanced user of the MS Word and PowerPoint.
