Job Description

Criminal InvestigatorOur client; a Law Enforcement organisation based in Central London are currently recruiting for an Investigator to work within one of the Operational Divisions, Investigators will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team investigating cases of serious andcomplex fraud or bribery and corruption: helping to bring cases to timely and successful conclusions.

  • Location: Embankment Area (Hybrid-working)
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 36hrs
  • Pay: £17.68ph
  • Start: ASAP pending a security clearance which can take up to 4 weeks
  • Duration: 3 months initially with possible extension
Job Description
  • Reviewing and describing material using the digital review system (Axcelerate) plus MS Word and Excel software. This requires a practical understanding of databases and be able to deploy this in managing large quantities of data.
  • Drafting witness statements and taking through to sign off under supervision.
  • Analysing documents, compiling relevant evidential material and presenting findings clearly and concisely in file notes.
  • Attend team and disclosure meetings and keep the wider team informed of review findings. This includes being able to assimilate complex financial and technical information and provide meaningful feedback on the content.
  • Drafting intelligence requests, including for suspect and witness profiles and financial checks.
  • Preparing suspect and witness interviews, checking transcripts, providing written summaries.
  • Assisting other investigators to conduct suspect and witness interviews, as required.
