The RoleNorton Rose Fulbright is a rapidly expanding global law firm and our intranet, Athena, plays a key role in our strategy to achieve a single business, by providing a global platform for communication, collaboration and knowledge.The day-to-day requests and activities of Athena in our EMEA practice are managed by the Intranet executive. As well as posting and managing updates and undertaking administrative intranet tasks, the Intranet executive responds to enquiries from content editors and users across all EMEA regions, and identifies and escalates issues. The Intranet executive reports to the Global intranet manager, to promote Athenas potential to meet business requirements that provide people with the information they want or need to do their job. The Intranet executive will also work as part of the EMEA marketing team to support the broader EMEA internal communications programme. Alongside these business-as-usual activities, the Intranet executive assists with the migration of content fromregional legacy sites, as directed by the Global Intranet Manager, and works on other ad hoc projects as directed.Athena relies on a decentralised team of content editors who, as part of their role, are responsible for maintaining local / functional / practice-based information. To ensure Athena adds value, we need a community of skilled and committed intranet editors who are trained, well informed about developments, and encouraged to contribute ideas for improving Athena. The Intranet executive is responsible for networking and engaging the EMEA content editor community, maintaining quality control on content and design, updating learning materials, and promoting best practice around the quality of content, as determined by the internal communications team.The Intranet Executive reports to the Global Intranet Manager.
