Job Description

Today with more than 7,500 Associates in over 90 offices worldwide, Lockton is a dynamic and innovative organisation that embraces its uncommonly independent status.We are now seeking individuals who will thrive in this type of atmosphere and we are now looking for a risk professional to take the lead in running and developing Locktons internal Risk Management function. Working at all levels of the company and across international jurisdictions, the successful applicant will be responsible for running the enterprise-wide risk management framework. The role includes leading risk discussions with stakeholders inside the company; Identifying emerging risks; reporting to boards and committees on the state of risk; and ensuring that the risk management systems and records are up to date. The job holder will have line management responsibility for a Risk Analyst who will assist in all aspects of implementing the framework. Role Responsibilities:

  • Advises on, co-ordinates and reports on the risk framework and line 1 activity for the International business Reporting to Regional ExCom, Boards and Risk & Control Committee.
  • Develops the risk management framework to suit the organisational needs.
  • Administers the Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
  • Creates training and development tools to encourage active participation in, and awareness of the risk management framework by Line 1 risk owners.
  • Oversees the Risk Management Policies, procedures, documentation and intranet page ensuring accurate, up to date data and documentation is presented.
  • Collates overseas and UK data for insurance renewal programme, ensuring accurate data is presented to underwriters and that the Insurance register is up to date.
  • Oversees and champions any Risk Management related projects that arise.
  • Oversees and maintains the Model Office repository to ensure it is up to date.
  • Maintains and develop the Lockton Overseas Quality Assurance File Audit System and produces reporting to relevant bodies.
  • Mentor and develop line reports
  • Implement an incident response process that is fit for purpose.
    • Candidate Profile
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience of operational risk management, preferably in the Insurance broking industry.
  • At least 3 years’ experience of the insurance industry/London Market with background in insurance broking is preferred.
  • Insurance or Risk Management qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Able to work on own initiative and prioritise work and to manage the workloads of others
  • Able to engage positively with senior stakeholders, creating valued relationships, acting as trusted advisor.
  • Ability to balance competing objectives, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Conscientious and self-motivated, with a good eye for detail.
