Job Description

About the roleWe are looking for a confident, persuasive, and proactive International Progression and Recognition Manager to work with key stakeholders within Higher Education, Government and Industry to ensure that our international qualifications are recognised by institutionsaround the world.This is a critical role within Pearson School Qualifications International as allowing students to make progress in their lives through learning is at the heart of everything that we do.Responsibilities of the International Progression and Recognition Manager:The International Progression and Recognition Manager will have responsibility for creating and managing the effective delivery and implementation of a global progression and recognition strategy.The role is responsible for developing stakeholder relationships that enable international learners to achieve their ambitions through progression opportunities and recognition of our qualifications by:

  • Gaining recognition of Pearson qualifications with higher education institutions, Governments and Ministries of Education around the world.
  • Building advocacy amongst stakeholder groups for Pearson qualifications as a progression route into Higher Education.
Key Accountabilities
  • Leading engagement with global universities and admission stakeholders to secure recognition of Pearsons International Qualifications.
  • Building, maintaining, and developing a pipeline of progression and recognition activities in key markets as defined segmented by our core stakeholder groups (e.g., universities, international governments, credential evaluators) and Pearson School Qualificationskey delivery markets (sales colleagues, schools, learners, parents).
  • Provide and source relevant internal, market and competitor intelligence to shape the opportunities and identify blockers around Pearson Edexcel student progression.
  • Communicate recognition to regional colleagues, international centres and learners, universities and the wider the business through appropriate channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to articulate the progression and recognition proposition and the development of compelling sales and marketing collateral/digital resources.
  • Represent Pearson School Qualifications at conferences, events and workshops to support progression and recognition activity.
  • Collect, analyse and communicate student progression data from a range of credible sources to support the Progression and Recognition strategy and demonstrate the efficacy of Pearson School Qualifications internationally.
  • Managing progression and recognition budget in line with planned activities.
Our Successful CandidateWe are interested in applicants with experience working within education sector, particularly in international education, along with an understanding of education assessment, practice, and policy.It would be an advantage to have business development experience and a history of successfully working with senior decision makers within different stakeholder groups. You are likely to be an excellent communicator with well-developed influencing skillsand the credibility to engage with stakeholders at a senior level.Experience of travelling and working in a number of different countries would also be an advantage.Role locationThis is a hybrid role and will require the successful candidate to work from either the Oxford or London offices when required.
