Job Description

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an International Markets Portfolio Governance Lead The Intl Markets Portfolio Governance Lead will join the Change Management Team to support the International Head of Markets Change and a team of Business Change Managers across EMEA & APAC. The individual will serve as a trusted Markets Change Delivery & Governancesubject matter expert to Change Leads, Business Leaders, COOs and project/programme Sponsors. The Intl Markets Portfolio Governance Lead will lead on defining and delivering against Governance for the International Markets Change Book of work that may impact multiple lines of businesses, legal entities and group functions e.g. Front Office, Technology,Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance. Responsibilities: As the Intl Markets Portfolio Governance Lead

  • Work with the International Markets Change Lead to engage and influence more experienced leadership and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives for programs or projects
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for high level strategies on business, product, customer service needs, analyze profitability, policy, programs and staffing to ensure optimal business results, initiate or direct high risk programs or projects
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions of change management team to meet performance objectives, including application of leadership objective, assessment of expected individual competencies in learning agility, ownership, stakeholder partnership andnetwork performance
  • Interpret and develop government regulations and enterprise policies for highly complex, high risk programs or projects
  • Collaborate with and influence more experienced leadership and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives for programs or projects
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Project Management
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required. Market Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in managing complex/multi-programme structure in a comparable financial institution or top tier consultancy.
  • Innovative mindset, with a track record planning experience, and knowledge of approaches and methodologies to support effective transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of financial service product offer and/or regulations in EMEA/APAC
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic delivery plans and roadmaps at an executive level.
  • Strong knowledge of data and technology requirements advantageous
  • Ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a team structure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders of all levels of seniority, from different backgrounds and based in other (global) locations.
  • Strong analytical skills; the role requires interpretation and synthesis of regulatory, business and technical information to ensure that the solutions implemented meet the needs of both Wells Fargo and its clients.
  • Ability to supplement requirements with visuals such as data flow, swim-lane, process flow and timeline diagrams.
  • Clear understanding of internal and external expectations/policies in respect of controls and governance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present concisely and accurately to senior audiences.
  • Intuitive; fast learner with good problem-solving skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills especially within a matrix structure.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and experience of SharePoint & Confluence would be beneficial.
