Job Description

About IGDIGD is the world’s oldest, independent gas detection manufacturer of leading digital gas detection products, serving clients in the UK and international markets.Providing an extensive range of products and services from system supply, to full site support, turnkey installations and ongoing service support to our clients.Operating from two sites in Stockport IGD are trusted by businesses around the world.IGD work with a wide range of clients from major international blue-chip companies, through Pharmaceutical, Academic, Research and distribution.An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Internal Sales Coordinator to join a well-established manufacturing organisation.This is a key role within the sales and marketing team, dealing with all forms of customer communication, sales administration, quote chasing and lead qualification.The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be proficient in using CRM systems, MS Office suite, and be comfortable working within a fast paced and busy department.The RoleReporting to the Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Processing customer orders
  • Qualifying generated sales leads with outbound calls and email (UK and overseas) qualifying these for account managers.
  • Understanding customers’ needs and quickly qualifying sales opportunities.
  • Quotation preparation for portable gas detectors and spare requirements
  • Following/Chasing opportunities and quotations created by Account Managers.
  • Answering customers’ questions and liaising with Production, Technical, Account Managers & Aftercare teams so requests are processed efficiently.
About You
  • You should have proven experience within a similar sales role, taking responsibility for the customer within IGD
  • Experience in working with a CRM system
  • Self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to learn in-house software application
  • Experience in sales environment and KPIs
  • Experience in telephone sales and ability to create sales emails.
