Group Internal Audit:The purpose of the Group Internal Audit (GIA) function is to protect and add value to TP ICAPs stakeholders by providing high-quality assurance, impactful analysis, and valuable insights. Our goal is to drive continuous improvement, innovation and efficiencies,supporting the firms long-term success. GIA is split across three geographic regions; EMEA, Americas and APAC with locations in London, New York and Singapore. Role OverviewThis role supports the Head of Audit (HoA) by:

  • Driving and delivering a portfolio of high-quality risk-based audit services across the business, with a focus on technology; and
  • Assisting in the management of strategic relationships with key GIA stakeholders by ensuring the risks associated with the latest business plans are fully considered and by providing independent opinion and assurance on the strength of the control frameworkand the effectiveness of business risk management.
Role Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the delivery of high-quality audit reporting to time and cost budgets. The GIA function delivers approximately 45-55 audit assignments annually.
  • Primary accountability to the Head of Audit, with responsibility for audit execution within that portfolio.
  • Has direct responsibility for audit staff working on each assignment within the portfolio.
  • Executes a dynamic risk-based audit plan focusing on key areas of significant business and IT risk. Monitors and anticipates regulatory and business change and assesses the potential impact. Provides an appropriate level of assurance that the significantrisks to the business are being well managed.
  • Manages assigned audit resources workload, ensures the quality of audit files and that all audit work complies with GIAs audit methodology and standards. Presents control gaps/failures to management promptly and agrees on commercially viable audit recommendationsand business actions that address areas of risk and failures in the control framework.
  • Influences stakeholders to embed risk management practices, enhance internal control practices, and improve the overall strength of their control framework by delivering high-quality audit reports and focused audit opinions.
  • Uses influencing, negotiating and diplomacy skills to manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships. Work closely with management to ensure business plans and initiatives are considered within GIAs risk assessment and audit plans.
  • Contributes proactively to achieving GIAs performance objectives and works effectively as part of a team.
  • Optional travel (approx. 5-10% depending on audit delivery portfolio) is an element of this role, as deemed necessary, to complete audit engagements and to fulfil stakeholder engagement, building deep relationships.
