Job Description

Requisition ID 34187 Office Country United Kingdom Office City London Division Banking Sectors Contract Type Intern Contract Length 06 months Posting End Date 28/12/2023 Please note this position is only available for Italian Nationals Purpose of Job Under the supervision of the Financial Products team within the SME Finance & Development Group, the intern may support joint advisory and finance programmes. In general, the role will entail a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Contribute to the development of a number of blended finance products aimed at SME development and financial inclusion
  • Data gathering, research and providing background information into specific areas of project preparation and/or monitoring.
  • Provide support to the team members working on fundraising to mobilise adequate donors resources for the Groups needs, either from bilateral or multilateral donors
  • Organisation and support to the management of upcoming events or workshops in the EBRD region of operation
  • Active coordination between different teams in the EBRD and with external consultants.
  • Preparation of outreach materials and ad-hoc briefings when needed
  • Drafting specific assigned portions of EBRD documents and correspondence.
  • Ad hoc assignments as requested
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualification
  • Passion to learn and grow in EBRD
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially good command over Microsoft Excel
  • Proven analytical and numerical skills
  • Very good written (report writing, correspondence) and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work independently
  • 6 month -3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • good relevant degree from a leading university preferably in Economics, Finance, Business, Development Studies
  • computer literacy
  • Good understanding of and interest in financial inclusion issues of SMEs in emerging markets
  • some relevant commercial experience
