Job Description

Interim Syndicate Accountant | London/Hybrid | 6-months | £500-£600 per day (inside IR35)Arthur Financial have partnered with a speciality insurer to support with their search for an immediately available, Syndicate Accountant for a 6 month contract. You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, production, reconciliation, andsubmission of the Syndicate Financial reporting, which includes Quarterly Board packs, Lloyds regulatory returns including Solvency II.Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reconciling technical journal entries relating to the Syndicate within documented deadlines.
  • Prepare monthly Syndicate P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Production of monthly and quarterly Syndicate financial reporting.
  • Develop a strong understanding of dataflows to support the population of the GL and financial reporting.
  • Document and maintain procedures and controls.
  • Assist with the preparation of Lloyds returns including QMA, QMB and Solvency II reporting.
  • Monitor all Lloyds bulletins and Q&As to identify changes required, ensuring these are incorporated in the Lloyds returns.
  • Process improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong UK/US GAAP knowledge
  • Strong understanding of insurance accounting, including Lloyds reporting
  • Cognos TM1 reporting tool experience.
  • Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Knowledge of Solvency II reporting
  • Lloyds market experience
