Job Description

Interim Senior Public Health Commissioning Manager Panoramic Associates are working with a Local Authority to support with the recruitment of a fully remote Interim Senior Public Health Commissioning Manager to lead on Children & Young People, Substance Misuse and Homelessness programmes.This is a really exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Public Health Commissioner to lead on various public health initiatives for a Council with an ambitious growth plan.Role:

  • Oversight, leadership, commissioning and procurement of various services such as the 0-19 Service, Health Family Service, Substance Misuse and Homelessness
  • Drafting a new specification for, and benchmarking work around, the needs assessment.
  • Work alongside the rest of the public health team, council members, service users, organisations and external stakeholders to make sure that the highest quality of services are delivered
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication, as well as working with providers.
  • Procurement and contract management
Requirements
  • At least 5 years public health commissioning experience at a Local Authority
  • You need to have strategic, as well as operational commissioning experience, particularly in any of the above areas
  • Clear evidence of partnership working
  • Experience leading/completing a Needs Assessment
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Educated to Postgraduate level in Public Health or related subject
