Job Description

This is an opportunity for a qualified interim Privacy Solicitor join the legal department of an international retail brand in London.Client DetailsOur client is one of the largest organisations in the leisure, retail and hospitality industry with a UK HQ in London. With thousands of employees worldwide, theyre recognised for their commitment to customer service and their unique approach to business.DescriptionThe Interim Privacy Counsel will be responsible for all areas of contractual and BAU privacy.

  • Provide strategic privacy advice and guidance to the organisation.
  • draft, review and negotiate privacy clauses within contracts.
  • Lead on all DPIAs.
  • Advise business areas with a particular focus on marketing & adtech on Privacy.
  • Develop and implement legal policies and procedures.
  • Manage legal risks and safeguard the organisations reputation.
  • Support the DSAR process.
  • Advise on GDPR.
ProfileA successful Interim Privacy Counsel should :
  • be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
  • experience and expert knowledge of Data Protection & GDPR.
  • advised businesses on consumer data matters.
  • an understanding of the data protection implications for marketing and adtech.
  • A solution-oriented approach and ability to handle complex legal issues.
  • Proficiency in legal research and risk management.
