Interim Head of Credit Risk

Required:

Proven Head of Credit Risk experience within a retail bank and/or consumer lender
Experience in the application of IFRS9 and scorecards
Knowledge and experience in analysing company financial statements is essential
High level of commercial awareness and understanding of strategic direction of company and potential market and economic impacts on risk
Strong communication & presentation skills
Good interpersonal skills – ability to build relationships at all levels
Experience in managing a team with a transversal working ethic
Highly numerate
Can communicate ideas, issues and solutions to a wide range of stakeholders, ranging from advisors to the Board

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the quality of the new production ensuring the accepted risk is within budget
Supporting the Models Risk team and working with Finance to deliver risk forecasts for both wholesale and retail activities with evidence.
Ensure both the retail and wholesale Cost of Risk is calculated in line with the firmsmethodology respecting IFRS9 standards
Support all Operational areas by ensuring the Risk teams provide accurate and timely data
Liaise with Marketing to validate the risk assumptions on products and packages (both credit risk and asset risk)
Attend all Risk related committees actively providing commentary and evidence
Provide analysis to auditors as and when required
Manage, develop and motivate the Credit risk team with a wide scope of functions ensuring good succession of experience is embedded into the team
Comply with all relevant legislation at all times such as Consumer Credit Act, Money Laundering Act, Data Protection Act and the FLA Code of Practice.
