Job Description

Cedar is currently in partnership with a leading global media company, seeking a proactive and organized individual to fill the role of Interim Group Reporting Manager. In this position, you will be instrumental in managing month-end processes, analyzingGroup Management Accounts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing financial controls, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives.The CompanyOur client, a prominent media company, is at the forefront of transforming the industry landscape. With rapid global expansion, they leverage expertise and resources to maintain their position as an industry leader, boasting a portfolio of renowned and iconicbrands across various sectors worldwide.The RoleAs the Interim Group Reporting Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing month-end schedules and overseeing Group-level analysis and review processes, including consolidation entries and central adjustments. Maintaining the Key Transaction register to ensure effective support for all material transactions and positions.
  • Analyzing, reviewing, and presenting Group Management Accounts to senior management, offering valuable insights and recommendations. Maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for financial reporting to ensure effective monitoring and evaluation.
  • Leading a team of Global Reporting Analysts, coordinating workloads, setting priorities, and reviewing tasks to ensure compliance, accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Group reporting. Supporting internal chart of accounts and integration of consolidationsystem with other key business finance systems. Assisting with the audit process for the Group and providing off-cycle support to senior management as needed.
  • Developing, reviewing, implementing, and monitoring financial controls and control environment continuously, driving efficiency and effectiveness. Providing expertise and guidance on technical accounting matters.
  • Implementing and developing continuous improvements across the reporting team, leveraging innovative solutions and best practices. Driving strategic initiatives to enhance reporting processes, efficiency, and effectiveness, contributing to the overall successof the organization.
Your ProfileIdeally, you will have:
  • A formal accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA/CIMA/CA)
  • Prior experience in an interim/contract role would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience managing multiple processes/teams in a Global Finance Reporting role will be crucial.
  • Proven experience overseeing month-end reporting periods within a working controls framework and supporting Group OpCo teams on matters of accounting policy application.
