Hampshire County Councils Childrens Services are looking for enthusiastic and skilled individuals with experience of working with children and families, who are passionate about making a difference, to join our team of Intensive Workers.You will be workingacross one of our Intensive Worker Teams, in a collaborative team environment alongside both social workers and specialist professionals. Within the Intensive Worker Team, you will operate flexibly and support families across the area covered by the widerteam.We believe in helping families to be stronger together, creating and embedding sustainable change that builds their resilience, and improves outcomes for children and young people, using a strength-based model. As an Intensive Worker, you will be at theforefront of this delivering interventions and support to families with multiple and complex needs, including working with adolescents and children with a disability.Your intervention could make all the difference in ensuring that children can remain safelyat home with their family. You could be supporting parents who have experienced significant trauma themselves which is affecting their ability to care for, and safeguard, their children, through to supporting the reunification of children in care home to theirfamily. Working intensively with families means that you will be able to build trusted relationships with the families you work with.Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, we can offer you a genuinely varied position in one of the top two performing childrens socialcare authorities in the country. Flexibility in working hours is key to ensuring services are delivered at optimal times of the day to reflect the needs of the family, such as helping with mornings or bedtimes. This means you may be required to work outsideof standard business hours on some occasions. However, with support from your manager, you will be able to adjust your working pattern to make sure it fits your home life and still meet the needs of the families you are supporting.As you will be working withfamilies across a geographical area, you must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role, for which you can claim travel expenses. When not on family visits you will be based from home.
