Job Description

Who we are looking for: We are looking for an Integration Specialist that works as a member of the UK based EMEA integration team supporting clients integration efforts in connecting to the Currenex and FX Connect platforms, ensuring optimal setups, building client relationshipsand continually explore ways to improve/optimize clients trading experience on the platform Why this role is important for usYou will be joining the State Street Global Markets team, a division that combines advanced trading technology, best execution and servicing expertise with proprietary market research. You will be working on our award-winning GlobalLink technology platform,a suite of market-leading e-trading platforms, technology, data and workflow solutions from State Street Corporation. What you will be responsible for: Pre-Sales Technical Support: Presales activities in this case encompass:

  • Responding to technical questions on implementation, security, network and workstation configuration
  • Proactively providing technical information on the above
  • Attending sales calls/meetings to support the sales representative
Post-Sales Implementation :
  • Maintain Implementation documentation & project plans.
  • Provide support for Sales with technical queries or any technical issues arising during the implementation process or post go-live
Technical Services :
  • Troubleshoot all connectivity issues and bugs and enhancement requests
  • Facilitate Defect Resolution
  • Work closely with Development to facilitate communication of issues & resolution, as well as development of new product features - with the aim of providing predictable processes & a stable platform for our members.
Integration :
  • Act as point of contact in EMEA for integration efforts.
  • Drive implementation of ESP, RFQ, STP & White Label projects
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with client base and third party vendors
Relationship Management :
  • Maintain, and grow, global relationships with internal departments e.g. with Networks, Techops, Product, Development and Customer Support, Sales, Liquidity Management
  • Maintain, and strengthen, client relationships.
  • Feedback client experiences/suggestions for enhancements into the Product teams
What we value: These skills will help you succeed in this role:
  • Unix/Linux operating system skills
  • Understanding of FIX, XML, HTTPS, SSL, TCP/IP, UDP
  • Some Perl and sh scripting would be helpful
  • Good understanding of networking and routing technologies
  • Previous experience of working in the finance industry
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively over the phone with clients and other firm employees in an international trading and office environment
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent client service skills
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors (BA/BS or University degree) degree required
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Programming/coding experience including FIX, Java and SQL
  • 6+ years of information technology experience.
