Data Architect (Integration & BI Developer)Spring Technology are currently working in partnership with a leading FTSE 250 client to recruit an experienced Data Architect (Integration & BI Developer) to develop integration and data processing pipelines which meet the needs of our client. This involves extracting data from different sources across the business (and externally) and transforming the data to provide users with a unified view of them in one place. You will have the opportunity to work across the full delivery lifecycle from requirements, user experience, design, development, implementation and deployment.The ResponsibilitiesWorking in an Agile scrum team, your responsibilities will include:*Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the delivery of Data processing and integration pipelines, through the complete development lifecycle*As required by the role: designing, coding, testing and Data processing and integration pipelines*Performing data analysis to support the design of the Data processing and integration pipelines*Developing and deploying the integration pipelines in between various transactional systems and the Datahub (a library of all the organisational data) and also data processing pipelines within the Datahub, working across several different teams (internal and external) to document, map and design each pipeline.*Producing documentation such as functional specifications, interface specifications, data model designs, and wireframes for review by the key business users and any design authority governance bodies*Supporting the design and execution of business testing, ensuring this is documented and carried out in a robust way using standard approaches and templates*Providing information to support project managers control and manage the project effectively, including task status and time recording*Support Heads of departments in managing the standards, policies and procedures relating to data processing and integrationsThe RequirementsEssential*Excellent knowledge of programming and scripting languages including Python, Pyspark and Javascript*Experience of AWS Services and technologies like S3, Glue, Redshift, Step functions*Technical knowledge of integrations and data processing in transactional (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) processing environments*Middleware solutions, development and deployment of interfaces to and from transactional systems*Understanding the general IT landscape across applications, networks, databases and connectivityDesirable*Data Warehousing: AWS technologies*Data Sourcing / Interfaces: SnapLogic, SAP BODS*Source Systems: SAP, WorkDay, Operational SystemsSpring acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
