Job Description

Were looking for a Director, Insurance - Commercial, to join us in London. The successful candidate will lead the optimization of Liberty Globals insurance strategy and will be responsible for building and commercializing an insurance offering to be sold across our third party B2B customer base. What will you be doing

  • Developing Liberty Globals overarching insurance strategy across all current and emerging insurable risks across Property and Casualty and Employee Benefits
  • Define Liberty Globals optimum risk financing strategy by risk (OpCo, captive, pooling, market, etc.) and assess the role of Liberty Globals captive insurance company
  • Place and manage all Group insurance programs and work with OpCos to ensure effective delivery of all local programs
  • Operational management of Captive Insurance Company
  • Develop effective claims management process in conjunction with local OpCos
  • Identify and deliver ancillary insurance opportunities (e.g. handset insurance, insurance marketing, etc.)
  • Evaluate new opportunities for value creation in areas relating to insurance function
  • Drive and develop new insurance product initiatives whereby insurance products can be commercialized
We tend to look for people with:
  • Experience in developing and executing commercial strategies to sell insurance products to third parties, with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
  • Extensive experience in the insurance industry, particularly in the commercial sector, with a deep understanding of market trends, competition, and emerging opportunities.
  • Experience in senior management roles
  • Experience of managing risk activities and a thorough understanding of risk management and corporate finance
  • Experience of successfully driving change and developing organisational structures and delivery
  • Prior role as Insurance Director or senior Enterprise Risk Management role for multinational corporate is preferred
