Job Description

Central London | Hybrid Working (3:2 office / home) | 12 month fixed term contractHighly successful platform-oriented business required a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to support a major platform stabilization programme over the coming 12 months and a number of projects within that. This will be a fulfilling and challenging role witha chance to make a real impact on the business.You will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with a range of internal stakeholders - excellent communication skills required.
  • Provide infrastructure project plans, (clear scope, risks, designs, implementation using best practices).
  • Produce excellent high-level and low-level design documents and standard operating procedures which will be used to develop internal team knowledge
  • Report on progress against milestones, deadlines, and budget to the Service Delivery Manager and all relevant stakeholders
  • Audit, make suggestions and secure consensus on improvements to platform security and compliance
  • Coordinate WAF (Silverline) deployment across web applications
  • Example projects for this year include tuning of the WAF solution, Cyber Essentials certification and performance/security tuning
About you:Essential:
  • Production experience deploying, maintaining, operating and tuning products end-to-end on Microsoft technologies e.g., .Net, IIS, SQL, Azure
  • Able to diagnose problems at all levels (Client, HTTP/Network LAN/WAN, NAT, Server, Database, OS) Knowledge of security - including security networks, applications, cloud, governance etc
  • Identity & Access Security
  • F5 LTM/DNS solutions - extensive configuration, deployment and support
  • Fortinet Firewalls - documentation of flow matrices and configuration, security best practices
  • Experience delivering SSL
  • Attack Signatures and Threat Campaigns - deployment experience
Desirable:
  • Observability & Monitoring using DataDog & CloudWatch or similar
  • Real-time low latency high-frequency transaction-based systems experience
  • Extensive knowledge of CDN environments - loading Internet content including HTML pages, javascript files, stylesheets, images, and videos
  • Experience of scripting, automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and the ability to share/coach other engineers in this discipline
  • Experience in CDN environments
  • Sessions Tracking & Client Reconnaissance
