Job Description

We are working on behalf of a leading player in the Financial Services industry in their search for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their established team in the London office. With over 500 staff spread across the UK in a number of offices, the internal IT team play a huge role in supporting the business.Opportunity

  • This is a chance to join a team of over 10 individuals and play a key part in the success of the IT Operations team. The role is focussed on IT, there is no requirement for management so a dedicated Engineer will flourish in this role.
  • You will deliver projects within the Infrastructure space, implementing new technologies, improving existing practices and maintaining the server estate
  • In addition provide 3rd line systems and application level phone/email support to users

  • Must have a practical level of experience implementing and administrating network and security solutions that utilise TCPIP-based services:- DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP etc.
  • Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
  • Exchange Server 2010/2013/2016 - migration and implementation
  • Airwatch mobile device management
  • VMware VSphere 6.0 onwards.
  • Sharepoint 2010-2016
  • Experience should include ITIL based incident and service request processes and working within a strict Change Control environment.
  • Active Directory - sites and services, Group Policy etc
  • Microsoft SCCM
  • SQL 2008 - 2016 administration
  • Backup technologies - Veeam and Backup Exec
  • Zerto replication
  • Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp.
  • Gemalto Safenet
  • Forescout CounterACT
  • Blue Coat Proxy SG
  • Cisco networking and unified comms
  • Phone system administration - Avaya / Cisco
  • Awareness of cloud technologies - AWS, Azure, Office 365
  • Some experience of SAN technologies is preferred.
