Job Description

Infrastructure Analyst - 2nd / 3rd LineMy Leading insurance broker client are currently looking to take on a new Infrastructure Analyst - 2nd / 3rd Line. The role will be taking on technical support resolving issues that are escalated from the 1st Line team and Service Desk requests.The firm are a very entrepreneurial insurance VC who are always growing and acquiring new businesses, particularly in the current climate where they see the opportunity for aggressive acquisitions and growth. Their aggressive style has seen them grow from just over a hundred users to 400+ in a short amount of time, its a fast paced environment with a very collaborative and friendly team.Requirements for the Infrastructure Analyst - 2nd / 3rd Line role8 years + IT Support experience.

  • Strong knowledge of troubleshooting desktop and server hardware faults and issues.
  • Hands on knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016+ and above experience
  • Azure Infrastructure-As-A-Service and O365 experience and knowledge of the various platforms that fall under these are required.
  • Citrix knowledge of catalogues, redeployments of images and using Citrix Studio and Director.
  • Ideally Cisco Meraki experience.
  • Mitel telephony experience preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with Lenovo, HP technologies, Citrix and thin clients.
  • Knowledge and experiencing using service desk ticketing systems.
    • Responsibilities:
  • Mentor of Junior IT members and support infrastructure from a 2nd / 3rd Line support and escalation role.
  • Provide escalation for 1st Line support on IT and Service Desk requests.
  • Ensure support tickets and incidents are dealt with in a timely manner and within agreed SLA’s.
  • Customer facing with great verbal and electronic communication skills.
  • Comfortable dealing with and able to engage with senior stake holders.
  • Maintain and build supplier relationships and management.
  • Working with 3rd party suppliers for services such as IaaS, managed printing and software vendors.
  • Performing computer / server and software installations.
  • Perform various duties in relation to the ongoing maintenance and stability of IT Services.
  • Proactively explore new technologies and investigate how they may be utilized with the company.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and other tasks, often outside of normal business hours.
  • Ensure IT system, standards and procedures are maintained throughout the business.
  • Dealing with systems issues and monitoring various systems and activities.
  • Engage and work on IT Projects.
  • Travel to different offices for meeting business stake holders within Covid-19 guidelines.
  • Ability to facilitate remote sessions with business / external parties.
  • Help produce and maintain clear and accurate systems documentation for work undertaken by the IT team and in production of user guidance and instructions.
  • Potential to work within a shift pattern to cover 07:30 - 17:30 operating window with out of hours as required (time off in lieu offered).
