Job Description

Information Security Manager - London - Up to £75,000 + Great BenefitsA forward-thinking fintech business located in heart of London are looking to increase the capabilities within their IT security team with a talented Information Security Manager.This is the chance to work in some of the most exciting and developing areas such as data science and cyber security, whilst working with globally recognised organisations in a collaborative and innovative environment.The Role As the Information Security Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the business cyber security strategy, devising and implementing innovative security solutions, enforcing policies and procedures and installing security tools. Your daily duties will also include, but wont be limited to:

  • Monitoring the networks for security breaches and investigating violations when they occur
  • Recommending security enhancements and providing technical security advice
  • Assisting and educating colleagues and technical teams regarding new security products and procedures
  • Performing vulnerability and network scanning assessments and penetration testing
  • Responding to security-related incidents and providing thorough post-event analysis
  • Ensuring alignment with the latest regulations and compliance requirements, such as GDPR, ISO27001, CyberEssentials, etc.)
    • About You The ideal candidate will have strong previous experience in an information/cyber security role with in-depth knowledge of IT strategy, enterprise/security architecture and compliance best practices. Collaborative in your approach, youll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to mentor and teach colleagues. As the Information Security Manager, you will have a skill set including experience of:
  • Security concepts relating to SSL, DNS, routing, authentication, VPN, proxy services and DDoS mitigation technologies
  • ISO 27001/27002/27017/27018, ITIL and COBIT frameworks
  • GDPR and compliance assessments
  • Firewall and intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • DLP, SIEM and anti-malware tools
  • Secure coding practices, ethical hacking and threat modelling
  • TCP/IP, computer networking, routing and switching
  • Auditing and risk assessment methodologies
  • Penetration and vulnerability testing techniques and tools
