Job Description

Informatica Developer6 month ContractCompetitive market rates + Uplifts - LondonKey Skills: Informatica/SSIS, ETL Processes, Data warehouse architecture, SQL Server, PowerShellAn exciting opportunity to work with a big-name client within the finance sector. Our client is looking for a highly motivated and eager individual with strong communication skills, to join their team.The successful candidate will need a strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle, and will be working in a team who are accountable for the design, development and maintenance of ETL solutions and data warehouse systems.Location: London, hybrid working with 2 days in the office, must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to come into the office when required.Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with business analysts to understand complicated business specifications. Create application design and development specifications to align with these requirements.
  • Develop unit test specifications and operate methodical testing of the delivered software.
  • Install and test software releases within the development environment
  • Be accountable for the accuracy of supplied estimates
  • If required, you will need to be able to provide support outside of allocated working hours
  • Adopt best practices around DevSecOps
Key Experience:
  • Previous experience with ETL Processes
  • Good level of experience using ETL tools e.g. Informatica/SSIS
  • Experience writing UNIX/ PowerShell scripts
  • Experience working with Data Warehouse concepts
  • Software development experience
Desirable Skills:
  • The ability to be a mentor for other
  • Is strong both individually and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Flexible in terms of working times
