Job Description

AMS is the worlds leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a HR Business Partner for a 6 Month contract, Remote Based.Arup are an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services. Arup are currently looking for the HR Business Partner to primarily work with management and teams delivering advice, support and appropriate people focused interventions to uphold operational excellence.Candidates will;

  • Proactively implement all cyclical activity so that managers feel supported and positive results are achieved
  • Work with People Partner toidentify local business need and seek specialist support from our centres of excellence teams
  • Work with thePeople Partnerto embed and implement programmes for the geography
  • Be custodians of, health and wellbeing, IM, health and wellbeing plans for geographyto ensure a proactive approach is taken on these areas to deliver best possible outcomes
  • Be custodians of Employee Relation matters, partnering with the Performance team in support of our emphasis on prevention, early intervention and informed risk management.
  • Co-deliver training and development in line with the specific needs of the geography.
  • Empower managers by developing and coaching them on People leadership.
  • Provide and ensure appropriate training and guidance for managers and employees on the use of new HR self-service technology and enabling our leaders and managers to become more self sufficient
Essential Skills and Qualifications:The role holder will primarily work with management and teams delivering advice, support and appropriate people focused interventions to uphold operational excellence and reflect the philosophy of the People Plan and delivery of the People calendar of programmesand initiatives. Therefore candidates will possess prior experience in;
  • Delivering People programmes and initiatives for local management and teams.
  • Translate local team requirements into effective, people solutions to ensure alignment to region wide objectives.
  • Take account of the bigger picture, question and challenge the traditional way or view.
  • Have an outlook and approach that instils confidence in leaders
  • Always look at ways to influence through innovative thinking.
  • Build networks of expertise across the People team to deliver creative solutions to meet Groups objectives.
  • Integrated working with peers; sharing best practices, learning experiences and using common tools and methodologies wherever possible.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Large Scale Organisation Matrix Experience
  • Prior Employee Relation experience / expertise
  • HR Generalist experience
