HR Advisor (Schools)Reports to: Head of Schools Business PartneringLocation: West London, with travel to Birmingham, Portsmouth & Hastings as requiredContract: PermanentPattern: Full TimeClosing date: 10am on 15 October 2021Salary: £28,000 - £32,000Aboutthe role:This role is primarily comprised of the following areas: Providing first line HR advice to HR leads and school SLT, primarily regarding employee relation cases Working closely with school SLT to manage ER casework where the school HR lead may nothave the expertise Delivering training and HR inductions Reporting, monitoring and auditing Providing first-line systems support for MIS and ATSKey Responsibilities and Duties: Delivering an effective, efficient and engaging HR support "AskHR" service in linewith agreed standards and timescales including telephone and email support and guidance and letter checking Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with the People Business Partners, providing ER support to their region where needed and reportingon regional HR activity monthly Provide support to Regional People Business Partners and the schools as required in conjunction with Arks performance management appraisal processes, pay scale change, and pay review processes Develop meaningful data analysisand insight to review effectiveness of areas of own responsibility, always seeking to improve practices Provide training on MIS (Bromcom & Scholarpack) and ATS to school HR leads as part of induction, and run refresher sessions as required Provide trainingsessions for school HR leads & Operations Managers and troubleshooting SWFC queries Keep abreast of HR best practice, legislative changes and new developments to continuously develop and improve knowledge and skills and broaden the understanding of inter-relationshipsbetween the range of human resources activities and functionsKey Requirements:Qualifications CIPD Level 5 qualified Commitment to Continuous Professional Development in HR fieldKnowledge & experience Experience working within a generalist HR function Exposureto Recruitment, Learning & Development, Payroll and HR/Recruitment Systems Experience with managing and overseeing ER casework Experience with delivering a high standard of customer service and senior stakeholder management Up-to-date knowledge and understandingof the ACAS Code and statutory employment laws including a wider knowledge of HR best practice* This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checkBenefits 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising with each year of service We arecommitted to providing high-quality professional learning throughout your career with us and offer a variety of training sessions and experiences designed to meet your needs Access to Ark Rewards scheme offering savings from over 3,000 major retailers, interest-freeloans available for season tickets or a bicycle and gym discounts offering up to 40% off your local gymAbout ArkArk is an international charity, transforming lives through education.
