Job Description

A client of Morgan Hunt are looking to recruit a Housing Support Officer in West London.This is a fixed term post until February 2022. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday on a rota during the working hours of 8am to 10pm.The main responsibilities of the Housing Support Officer will be provide high quality, holistic support and temporary housing accommodation with associated facilities for young vulnerable people to develop their personal and social skills sufficient for them to live independently from the YMCA in a sustainable way and assist them to move on in a planned manner to more independent accommodation.The successful will have:

  • Have at least 1 years experience of working in a similar role
  • Have good working knowledge of housing and welfare benefits and the relevant legislation
  • Have knowledge of implementing Arrears Policies
  • Be IT literate
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work under pressure and deal with challenging situations
