Job Description

Start Date: ASAP Pay: Relevant to Qualification (KR4 - KR6)We are seeking an inspirational, highlymotivated and creative Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our caring anddedicated team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a committedindividualto work for a friendly and supportive school where all members ofthe team work together for the benefit of the whole school community.The core post will be part-time, 20 hours per week,term time only. The days and hours of work are Monday to Friday,8:45amto 12:45pm. There is also an opportunity for the rightcandidate to work an additional 7.5 hours in the afternoons (1:45pm to 3:15pm) This is a temporary post until the end of theacademic year, part funded by the Catch-Up provided by theGovernment.There may be potential for the post to be extendedfurther depending on the needs of the school and future funding. Key elements of the role: Plan, prepare and deliver specified learningactivities to an identified group of children to make accelerated progressacrossa range of age groupsBe responsible for planning and implementingstructured learning programmes and supporting pupils as individuals and ingroups to access learning activities in and out of the classroomThe successful candidate will: Be qualified, or haveevidence of working towardsa Level 4 HLTA Certificate or DiplomaHave successful relevant experience of workingwith children across the Primary age range.Have experience of planning and running highquality interventions which have positive outcomes for pupils.Beable to inspire and motivate pupils to reachtheir full potentialUse their initiative to support and stretchlearningBe empathetic to the social, emotional andphysical needs of all children.We can offer: A salary based on Kent Range 6 for HLTAqualified candidiates.Depending on qualification and experience, paycould range from KR4-KR5 for unqualified candidates or those currentlyundertaking training.
