Job Description

Focusing on the increase & maintenance in profitable Hire and Sales Groundworks Division activity, you will build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and securing business relationships. You will use your experience to generatenew business opportunities from both existing and new accounts in order to achieve budgeted levels of revenue in a profitable and professional manner.You will build sustainable long-term relationships with customers by offering market leading products and solutions, working with the team to ensure that customer service levels and performance standards are met.ResponsibilityThe key result areas of your job are as follows:

  1. Represent the company both by communicating by telephone, email, Teams/Zoom and in person to gain orders for all company products and services presenting to the customers the correct Groundworks Division company image.
2.To build strong, profitable and sustainable relationships with customers in your region and to develop and grow the territory to achieve Ground Shoring Hire & Sales Objectives, ensuring payment is received on time and in full.3.Ensure contacts are established and maintained with the key customers and business influencers with a view to account development through targeted activity.4.Maintain clear contact with the BDM/Independent Design Engineers/Relevant branch regarding specific customers operating both inside and outside of your designated territory to further develop the business.5.Demonstrate Commercial awareness through understanding and application of commercial and financial principles and ensure you view issues in terms of costs, profits, markets and added value.6.Maintain effective work behavior in the face of setbacks or pressure and demonstrate resilience in pursuance of goals and objectives.7.Achieve budgeted turnover and targets within agreed pricing policy and procedure.8.Ensure that all customer queries are dealt with in a courteous, speedy and effective manner within the agreed timescales.9.Plan and effectively implement sales calls and total area coverage in agreement with the Branch Manager/BDM and Area Directors.10.Aim to improve and understand technical or professional aspects of work and continually maintain technical capabilities through self-help/training.11.Advise the Branch Manager of marketing information, including competitors activities and pricing by means of weekly reports and sales meetings.12.Ensure that all paperwork has been processed at the correct time including daily report sheets. Keep and update customer record system.13.Ensure that all quotations are confirmed in writing and are effectively progressed.14.Responsible for ensuring the Company Health and Safety policies and Government Legislation is effectively implemented in areas where you work.15.Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and procedures.16.Carry out specific projects as agreed from time to time and effectively implement Company policies and procedures.17.Ensure that the Company car provided is maintained in a clean and tidy and legally roadworthy condition at all times and present yourself in a smart and tidy manner in line with company rules, dress code and principles.Under the Health and Safety at Work Act, you have a personal responsibility to work in a safe manner to protect your own safety and that of othersSkills and Personal Qualities:Strong drive and commitment to succeed Well organised and ability to work to tight deadlines Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality High sense of personal integrity and professionalism Proficient IT skills including MS Office Influential and assertive, able to get views across with conviction and not give way to pressure from others.
