Job Description

Higher Level Teaching Assistant(HLTA) SEN SchoolKensington and Chelsea, LondonLong-Term, Full-TimeApril 2023 Start£100-£120 Per DayASEN school in Kensington and Chelseais looking for aHigher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, including anxiety, trauma and personality conditions. You will be allocated key pupils to work with on a 1:1 basis, both in and out of the classroom. For those with a background or keen interest in psychology and/or mental health, there is the opportunity to be involved in therapy planning and delivery.

  • £100-£120 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • Long-term, full-time
  • April 2023 start

The successfulHigher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)will:
  • Have a dynamic approach to supporting the learning of SEN pupils
  • Be empathetic to emotionally support pupils and their families
  • Be confident in delivering sessions independently
  • Have good SEN experience
  • Have a background or keen interest in psychology and mental health; qualifications are ideal, but not essential
  • Have a valid Enhanced DBS
